As part of our LGBTQ History Month tributes, tonight we will share a multimedia presentation to introduce you to The Harlem Renaissance. The Harlem Renaissance was an intellectual and cultural revival of African American music, dance, art, fashion, literature, theater, politics and scholarship centered in Harlem, Manhattan, New York City, spanning the 1920s and 1930s. We will include historical information and video footage about its architect and several of the LGBTQ artists who made it come to life. Many of their name are still household names, nearly a century later.
