
November is often known as the" transition" month - the time between fall and winter. It is the only month Shakespeare never mentioned in all his plays and sonnets. Margaret in Little Womencalled it "the most disagreeable month," but with its holidays and historical milestones, many long for the traditions and warmth of the time before the chill of the approaching winter.
