Taming Of The Shrew

For more than two decades, The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's Next Stage Ensemble has visited GAAMC during the summer to entertain us with edited versions of Shakespeare's classics.  This year, we will present The Taming of the Shrew.

While most events at GAAMC do not have an admission charge, this one is different.  All guests are asked to pay $10, to help cover costs such as rent, insurance, refreshments, and of course, to pay The Shakespeare Theatre.

More about the Next Stage Ensemble:
One of the divisions of The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's Summer Professional Training Program, the Next Stage Ensemble was created to foster the work of early-career actors. Participants take advanced classes in voice and movement, while working on hour-long productions of classic plays. These productions bring theatre to a variety of locations throughout the region including libraries, retirement communities, summer camps, and schools. Acting as "ambassadors" of The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey during the summer months, the Next Stage Ensemble brings theatre to communities across New Jersey, with a special emphasis on audiences who cannot travel to the Theatre.
