Tonight, Monday, March 20, starting at 6:30 pm, we will dive into a rarely seen corner of American history, a history that unfolded in the Bering Sea, between Russia and Alaska.
In a documentary produced by the US's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration we learn of the settlement of the islands of the archipelago that create the boundary between the Atlantic Ocean and the Bering Sea. From Russian discovery, religious conversion, indentured servitude and World War II, there is a great deal to unfold.
Aquilina, our narrator, will gently guide us through some history lessons that aren't always gentle.
Doors open at 6:00 pm, every Monday. There is never a cover fee, and all friendly folks are welcome.
