Arbor Terrace, a Senior Living community in Morris Plains, NJ has invited GAAMC members to join them for an event on Saturday, February 9th at 2:30 pm at Arbor Terrace, 361 Speedwell Ave., Morris Plains, NJ 07950.
“Love Wins” is a half-hour documentary that tells the story of two women, Emily Sonnessa, 89, and Janice Moore, 82, who met and fell in love during a time when it was strictly taboo. While remaining “in the closet,” Emily and Jan raised three children in suburban New Jersey. On September 16, 2007, Jan and Emily were united in a civil union, and ultimately in 2013, they were legally wed. Join us as we screen the film, followed by a Q&A with Emily, Jan, and filmmaker Robin Kampf.
RSVP's are required to attend this screening, so our hosts can properly prepare. We have been told that there will not be any type of sales presentation regarding Arbor Terrace, however, if anyone wanted a tour the staff would be happy to show us around. Please RSVP no later than 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 7th, and please be sure to include a telephone number so we may contact you in case of any last minute changes.
Arbor Terrace is a new facility, built on the site of the former "Mansion at Bretton Woods" catering facility on Speedwell Ave., near the ACME, at the intersection of Speedwell and Hanover.
