Over the past decade, GAAMC has showcased generous individuals willing to share history, herstory, and ourstory. This past October, we lined up volunteers to share how ourstory has impacted their stories. For the new year, we are launching a new series of meetings where GAAMC members share stories from their past. It is up to the volunteer to choose what moment, event, place, hobby, or other factoid they are willing to share with us. Last Monday, our president, Gordon Sauer shared remembrances of his trips to Europe, most specifically to Germany, and how the rewards of those experiences continue to enrich his life.
Who writes the most scholarly annual Christmas letters? Who charmed their way into a conversation with the legendary opera singer Maria Callas? We all think we know the people in our daily lives, but do we really? Just as we curate our social media presence, every day we curate our presence in the world. Join us Monday, January 10 for a look behind the curtain to learn the experiences that built those we know and love.
GAAMC presents Our Stories, conversations with long term members who share fundamental foundations of who they are, how they see the world and how their world has shaped them. This Monday we feature Dale and Jim, who have much to share.
