8:15 PM: Jill Powell
Jill Powell, actress and raconteur, will be joining us this evening. Ms. Powell is the proud lesbian mom of her 22-year-old transgender son, Ash; advocate and inspirer for LGBTQ youth; and overall lover of life! Prior to her advocacy work, Ms. Powell had two very exciting careers: first, as an actress, singer, and dancer on Broadway and television; and second, as the found and director of an all-girls camp which used the arts as the avenue in which to take girls on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Jill will be telling us a story that's close to her heart.
