In our first presentation in February, we covered the basics of what “income inequality” means, and its corrosive effects on societies around the world using data collected by up to 200 global studies, through 2011. Part 2 will feature excerpts from “Requiem for the American Dream” by Noam Chomsky and “Saving Capitalism” by Secretary Robert Reich, who will bring us up to date on the most current statistics and the fallout of greed and insecurities in these United States in 2017/2018.
Afterward, we will be joined by very special guest Tamara Harris who was born in the US Virgin Islands, moved to mainland USA, has lived in Viet Nam and China and spent most of her adult life helping people in need. Ms. Harris is also a candidate in the Democratic Primary in June, running to represent NJ’s 11th Congressional District.
Note: It is not necessary to have been present for Part 1, to gain something from this installment.
