Doors will open approximately 6:30, with our weekly open discussion, "Open Talk" taking place from 7:00 - 8:00.  Following a brief intermission, Gordon will host "Let’s Talk about GLSEN and LGBT Youth," from 8:15 - 9:30.

Join us as we reflect on our life experiences when we were young and LGBT and look at how life has (and hasn’t) changed for today’s LGBT youth. GAAMC President and GLSEN Central NJ Educator Programming Committee Chair Gordon Sauer will facilitate discussion of these topics and give a presentation about GLSEN—a national LGBT youth and educator organization whose mission is to make schools safe for all LGBTQIAA students. Gordon will also share the results of a 2015 national and NJ survey about LGBT youth and will discuss GLSEN’s recommendations for making schools safer for everyone.
