This evening, instead of a discussion followed by a speaker, or instead of a film followed by a discussion, we will try something new.  GAAMC leaders will choose some of their favorite TED Talks to share.  We plan an evening full of viewing, discussing, more viewing and more discussing.  Join us for a healthy serving of “ideas worth spreading.”

TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment, and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events help share ideas in communities around the world.

TED talks are now available on most platforms, via apps, including smartphones, tablets, and TED channels on smart TV's.  You may create a free subscription on TED.com and link your app to your account, to select your favorite topics.  Each day, your TED app will suggest a new talk to view from your list of interests.
