November History

As the days grow shorter, November serves up memorable anniversaries. While we're busy planning Thanksgiving dinners and bundling up for winter, it is mind boggling to realize what happened across history during this month. The Sistine Chapel was opened to the general public in November 1512. Russia sent the first animal to orbit the earth in 1957. A young boy-king of 19 in a solid gold coffin was discovered in Egypt in 1922, and a German cleric set off the Protestant Reformation. November is the time of the annual World Series and Nobel Prizes, Armistice Day and the Gettysburg Address. Join the gang at GAAMC to learn more about these and other significant events which have shaped our world.

Refreshments will be provided, and a small donation is asked to contribute to our use of the Fellowship. You're also welcome to join a group at a local diner afterward to continue the camaraderie!

Will you come?
