September is one of the most consequential months in history.  It holds stories of founding documents, including the signing of the United States Constitution, national tragedy, the September 11th terrorist attacks, war, Germany's invasion of Poland in 1939, and the subsequent involvement of the US in World War II, and political change, the first televised presidential debate. It is a month filled with events that changed the course of American life and still shape how we understand the past today.
