Open Talk + 20-Somethings + Shakespeare Theatre of NJ

Red_Velvet-250.jpg6:30 PM: Doors Open (like they do every Monday)

7:00 PM: Open Talk, our popular one-hour discussion group that's open to all people of all orientations and identities, will be facilitated by Gordon this week.

7:00 PM: 20-Somethings will talk about National Coming Out Day, specifically what have they experienced since coming out.

If you are between the ages of 18 and 35, join the 20-Somethings as we talk about the effect coming out as LGBT has had on our lives OR, if you have not come out yet, how you think it will affect you in the future. We will also discuss National Coming Out Day (10/11/16) and any plans we may have for it.

8:30 PM: Brian Crowe, Director of Education at Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, joins us to talk about METHOD & MADNESS.  Brian will cover the challenges faced when presenting Shakespeare – how do you break the language barrier of the "Olde English", etc.  He will also cover how plays are selected for each season, which STNJ does brilliantly.  He will also discuss the ways people approach Shakespeare now, including some STNJ have produced very recently.  This will be a remarkable evening, make your plans now to join us!
