Help Strikeout Bullying!
Celebrate Citi Field's Pride Night on Saturday, August 4. Enjoy festive pre-game programming on Mets Plaza before heading inside to watch the New York Mets take on the Atlanta Braves at 7:10 p.m. A portion of each ticket sold through this special offer will benefit the LGBT Network, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and its Safe Schools Initiative to stop bullying in Long Island and Queens.
GAAMC had 14 people showing their team spirit last year, and several contributed to the on-field pride rainbow during The National Anthem.
This year, we will return to "Field Reserve" seating, again under an overhang, out of the weather, near air conditioning and three clubhouses nearby. Tickets cost $65 each and may be ordered in our Online Store.
For the best transportation experience, Andy Skurna, our lead organizer for this event, suggests taking a NJ Transit train to Penn Station, then walking through Penn Station to get onto the LIRR to Willets Point. It takes about 20 minutes and makes only one stop. If you are not in the mood to climb the many stairs, then it is suggested that you take the NY Subway's #7 train. It is handicapped accessible and will leave you off closer to the field.
