Challenge - the GAAMC newsletter. Find news and articles of interest on current events happening at GAAMC, in New Jersey and around the USA. Challenge also publishes poems, editorials, contact information and events for other groups and much more.
All members of GAAMC in good standing may receive printed copy of Challenge, mailed to their residence in a plain white envelope. Everyone may sign up to receive free notifications of when we upload issues of Challenge to our online library, in .pdf format. To learn more, scroll down this page and read about our email services.

Pride Guide - is our annual guide to LGBTI New Jersey. Whether you want a listing of the various gay and gay-friendly vendors and professional services available in the state, or to read the various editorials and news articles, the Pride Guide is for you. We are proud of our expanded sections like Mental Health, Religion/Spirituality and Student Organizations. We are grateful to all the advertisers and volunteers who make this community service possible. While we are working on getting the 2011-2012 hyperlinked and uploaded to our online library, you may pick up a free copy or copies any Monday at GAAMC, or at any of these NJ participants:

Our Discussion Groups:

Gordon Sauer, GAAMC’s head of Discussion Group Resources, leads Circles-NJ beginning at 7:00 PM. Circles participation is closed to those who sign up at the beginning of a course. The current course of Circles will be ending at the end of November. For more information, or to sign up for the next co-ed Circles, please see Gordon any Monday before 7:00 PM, or send an email to Discussion Group Resources.
OpenTalk is GAAMC’s easiest discussion to join. Just show up! This group is designed to be as open and friendly as possible. The discussion is facilitated by a team of experienced leaders including Elias Scultori, Kerry Dinkin, Gordon Sauer and Sherri Rase. This loose and lively one-hour discussion starts at 7:00 PM each Monday in our Library, and this group welcomes people of all ages, gender identities and orientations to talk about topics derived from everyday life. Just coming out? Welcome. New to the area? Welcome. Been out forever? Welcome. Have an question, opinion, or burning desire? Welcome.

Speaker's Bureau - is a group of trained GAAMC volunteers who go to invited venues to speak about what it's like to be gay. It's kind of a "Gay 101" course. The volunteers field questions and enlighten many groups each year, including high school and college classes, civic groups and more. Contact the Bureau at SpeakersBureau@gaamc.org.

GALY-NJ - stands for Gay and Lesbian Youth - New Jersey. GALY was for young people between 16 and 21 years old who identify themselves and gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, or in questioning. GALY-NJ has outlived its need, and in 2006 closed its meeting doors as youth have found new ways of finding and relating to eachother in a healthy way.
