8:00pm: Dating Workshop
Estimates of the percentage of relationships that begin in online dating/hook-up sites are as diverse as our range of sexual orientations and gender identities. However, it is pretty much a given that it is a trend that has continued to grow over the past several years, with no signs of slowing down. Your ability to create an attractive and accurate profile (your online identity) is vital in getting you offers for dates, or getting your offers accepted. It is your first impression…don’t blow it! February 13th is our Annual Valentine’s Social. Come with a renewed vigor knowing that you are taking an active role in finding your soul mate, best friend, next conquest…your heart’s desire.
Almost all dating sites use the same basic formula to help you present yourself. Join us for a workshop on how best to present your assets to help you attract the best possible suitor(s)…based on how you define what is YOUR best possible mate.
Not online? No problem. Use this workshop to craft a new personal ad. Whether it appears in print or not, chances are the exercise will help you define what you really need or want. All GAAMC members and Challenge subscribers may run a free personal ad (up to 200 characters) in every issue of Challenge.
COME DRESSED TO KILL! GAAMC’s own Sherri Rase of Studio Rase, will offer free photography services to help show off your best side.
If you already participate in an online dating site, please print your profile and use it as a launching point.
DID YOU KNOW New Jersey was one of the first states with a law setting minimum safety and information sharing guidelines for dating sites? Follow this link to an article that explains the law know as the Internet Dating Safety Act by Government Technology.
